Scope and Content
The Budget, Planning and Policy Office advises the governor regarding state policy and fiscal matters regarding oil, gas, air, and waste in support of his statutory role as Texas’ chief budget officer. Oil, gas, air and waste files are environment-related records of the Budget, Policy and Planning Office, dated 2008-2014. Records contain briefing papers on ethanol and other topics, applications for environmental waivers, agricultural research, federal regulations assessments, government shutdown plans for state agencies with probable environmental impact, requests for signatures, talking points and records pertaining to the budgets of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Railroad Commission of Texas.

Formats of the original electronic files include word processing files (.doc), spreadsheets (.xls) and PDFs. Digital files presented for public use will generally be PDF for text documents and .jpeg for spreadsheets. Files in their original format are available on request; restrictions may apply.
