Scope and Content
Executive Office staff provided support services to Governor Rick Perry as he carried out his duties as governor. Records are the subject files of Senior Advisor Mike Morrissey and include plans, reports, budgets, presentations materials, speeches, notes, correspondence, clippings, publications, memoranda and related attachments, dated 1988, 1991-1992, 1994-2013, undated, bulk 2001-2011. Mike Morrissey first worked in the Office of the Governor as director of the Budget, Planning, and Policy Division, then acted as the deputy chief of staff and senior advisor, as well as executive assistant for Texas Governor Rick Perry. In April 2008, he became the senior advisor in the Office of the Governor.
