Scope and Content
General correspondence of the Texas Office of Financial Accountability documents higher-level American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) activities and includes correspondence to and from Governor Rick Perry, President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. Record types include correspondence and accompanying documents such as reports (including printouts of tracking tool queries), time lines, news clippings, and memorandum of understandings, and date from 2009 to 2011. Subjects include the use of state stabilization funds; the effect of ARRA on education, environment, transportation, and public health programs; reporting activities; and plans and comments on how Texas would spend federal recovery monies.
