Scope and Content
The Governor’s Commission for Women (GCW) was created in 1967 to serve as a liaison between Texas women and government agencies, as well as private entities addressing women’s needs. These records offer insight into the responsibilities of a GCW intern and in doing so, they also document GCW’s involvement with various causes and projects. Dates include 2001-2010. The records include letters of recommendation, weekly activity reports, and project lists.

Formats of the original electronic files include word processing files (.doc, .docx). Digital files presented for public use will generally be PDF for text documents or spreadsheets. Files in their original format are available on request; restrictions may apply.


Arrangement
Records are arranged in the order as received from the agency. Files tend to be labeled descriptively and include the name of the intern.
