Scope and Content
The Texas Music Office (TMO) of the Texas Governor’s Office is a state-funded business promotion office and information clearinghouse for the Texas music industry. TMO photographs include images of performances, award ceremonies, conferences, group portraits, and portraits of staff members and members of the music community, dating 2004-2011. One folder contains seven photographic files documenting a speaking event involving the TMO and the Austin Asian American Chamber of Commerce that probably took place in 2011. A substantial portion appear to document a TMO staff visit to George Strait at his ranch in La Salle County, though the exact location is unclear. In addition, events attended by Texan musicians Billy Joe Shaver and Ornette Coleman are well documented.

Relatively little description of the images is available; file names sometimes identify participants or events to varying degrees of clarity, but little else. Otherwise, file names are often number sequences assigned by the camera or photographer, the significance of which is currently unknown.
