Description:
Historical Note: Simon Stevin (1548-1620) was a mathematician and scientist in Bruges who first introduced decimal fractions. Sculptor Eug�ne Simonis from Li�ge designed the bronze statue of Simon Stevin, which was put up at Simon Stevinplein square, Bruges, in 1846. On July 27, all participating organizations and individuals in the celebrations received a medal like this one.
