The Moving image materials series includes videotapes, videocassettes, and 16mm motion picture films that document the activities of the Texas Tourist Development Agency and its work to increase the state's share of the national tourist market, dating 1964-1987 and undated. Items include 10-, 30-, and 60-second Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for television, elements that were assembled to create these PSAs, and features produced by and for the TTDA and others. Some of the tapes are labeled as masters. Items date 1964-1987 and undated.
Description:
The materials document television advertising campaigns used by the agency and sheds light on some of the associated creative process. Campaigns represented include: 1978 PSAs; a 1980 campaign starring Guich Koock; Come Live the Legend (1981); 1984 PSAs; 1985 PSAs; Have a Big Time in Texas (1986); and Another Big Time in Texas (1987).

Motion picture titles include Waterways to Adventure, narrated by Cactus Pryor and produced for the Boating Trades Association of Texas, The Broken Bow Story, See More of America When There's So Much More to See, Texas--The State that Means Friendly, and Welcoming International Visitors to the United States: A Two Part Film.
