The Capitol Building Commission (CBC) was formed to manage the construction activities of the Texas State Capitol. This series consists of 136 original ink-on-linen architectural drawings of the Texas State Capitol dating 1882-1888, undated, along with the 85 blueprints and 2 blueline prints used in construction, dating 1882-1888, undated. Also included is 1 architectural drawing of the temporary Capitol, undated. Derivative images of the drawings are also present as 27 color slides and 14 black-and-white photographs dating 1980, 137 color transparencies dating 1994, and 135 photomechanical prints on archival polyester film dating about 1997.
