Records include correspondence, receipts of controlled document transmittals, reports, drawings and plans, maps, photographs, manuals, procedures, instructions, regulatory codes and standards, contracts and agreements, audit documentation, meeting notes, logs, specification descriptions, corrective action requests, calculations, geology and hydrology simulations, sample results, data print outs from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Hydrologic Evaluation of Landfill Performance (HELP) software program, environmental monitoring data, acknowledgment forms, technical memorandums, purchase requests, invoices, newsletters, checklists, submittal forms, agreed orders, field notes, emergency response plan, and organizational charts, dating 1963-1973, 1979-1980, 1982-1998, undated, bulk 1992-1997.
Description:
Activities reflected include site characterization, collection of observational data (especially related to soil conditions, meteorology, geotechnical, hydrology, precipitation, seismology, and background radioactivity) prior to site operation, and monitoring of Eagle Flat and its surroundings. Construction projects reflected are the explanatory trench, demonstration cap, south access road, and general building of site structures. Contractors represented in records include Morrison-Knudsen Corporation, Radian International, Rogers & Associates Engineering Inc., University of Texas at Austin–Bureau of Economic Geology, and Dames & Moore.
