Press Office audio files are digital and analog recordings of press conferences, interviews, speeches, bill signings, ceremonies and announcements and phone greetings, 2003-2014, undated, bulk 2008-2010. The audio files include greetings and holds recorded by Governor Perry and played for constituents calling the Governor's Office, related to topics such as holiday greetings, Texas political highlights, natural disaster emergency situations and fundraising organizations. Interviews include in-person and radio interviews conducted by Governor Perry with a variety of media personalities and outlets including Sean Hannity, Texas Monthly, Mark Davis, Joe Pags, Charlie Parker, Michael Garfield, KRLD, and Glenn Beck. Public Information Request (PIR) meeting requests include audio related to appraisal reform and crime stoppers programs. Press conferences and calls include audio clips and sound bites related to politics in the Middle East, Taiwan, the Governor's Mansion fire, Hurricane Ike and health care. Speeches include audio from the state of the state addresses in 2009, 2011 and 2013, along with an address to the Greater Houston Partnership in 2008 and the signing of HB 2 in 2013. Testimony audio is from the House Appropriations Committee in 2009. Analog material includes three unlabeled audiocassette tapes with recordings from new stations. Also included with these audio files are a large group of radio addresses from Governor Perry addressing issues such as legislative and budget matters, economic development, education, tort reform, medical malpractice and hurricane relief efforts. The audio files are accompanied by transcripts of the address.
