Title: Administrative records and reports
Description: These are execution case files that the Office of the General Counsel of Texas Governor Rick Perry created to track the cases of death row inmates and document actions by the courts and the governor through appeals, requests for stays of execution, or clemency. Records are in either paper or electronic format. The files consist of internal office files created by and for General Counsel staff to track, monitor and facilitate execution case review and decisions made within the General Counsel's office, correspondence sent to the governor and the General Counsel in regard to pending executions, and case summaries for review by General Counsel staff. Types of records include spreadsheets, databases, template response forms, and correspondence dating 2001-2012. A small amount of correspondence includes a letter to the governor asking for a delayed execution for Charles Dean Hood and a letter from a state senator in regard to scheduled executions.
