This index transcribes information appearing in two registers of Elected and Appointed Officials for the Republic found within the Secretary of State's records. The columns headed "Date of Election or Appointment, "Name of Officer," "Office Held, "Date of Confirmation or Commissioning" have been transcribed. In addition, each entry gives the county in which the officer served, and the original volume and page numbers wherein the information is located. Only the occasional data found in a "Remarks" column within the originals have been omitted.
