Scope and Content
The Governor’s Commission for Women (GCW) was created in 1967 to serve as a liaison between Texas women and government agencies, as well as private entities addressing women’s needs. These files contain electronic copies of various editions (including a draft) of the commission newsletter, dated 2004-2010. Also included is a list with the email addresses of subscribers.

Formats of the original electronic files include word processing files (.doc, .docx), spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx), and PDFs. Digital files presented for public use will generally be PDF for text documents or spreadsheets. Files in their original format are available on request; restrictions may apply.


Arrangement
Records are arranged in the order they were received by the agency. Files tend to be labeled descriptively and include information about the edition of the newsletter.
